Hello friends. My wife @adeang915 ‘s best friend has started a GoFundMe page, as our medical expenses are really starting to add up. She is currently in the hospital and will be for some time, and I’ve been looking into using family leave, staying with friends, and monthly hotel rentals in order to be closer to her during this time. In addition to the current treatment she is getting there, she is also going to need ongoing care, medication, and bloodwork for the rest of her life and the costs associated with that are growing. Finally sanded the slab from @newjerseywoodforever down to 3000 grit (excessive, but I filled the holes with epoxy so I wanted to get a shiny finish), and took some @odiesoil and wax to it. I must say it turned out beautiful. First experiment with @odiesoil and some Odie’s wax on a random piece of cedar I had laying around. Sanded to 240 grit and worked in a little oil, followed by a buffing with the wax. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with how well this turned out given the little effort I had to put in! . #woodworking #woodwork #woodworkingcommunity #odiesoil #handmade

Playing with epoxy update: sanded down to 3000 grit and buffed with some @odiesoil The surface finish is nice and smooth, but the epoxy itself was a little bubbly and ripply from me dumping it in really fast.
